Why I'm Running
I'm a parent of kids in Ann Arbor Public Schools, and like many of you, I've watched our district navigate real challenges — budget pressures, staffing struggles, and inequities that show up in ways big and small. I'm running because I believe our schools deserve a board member who listens, asks hard questions, and puts students and families first.
AAPS is full of talented teachers, dedicated staff, and families who care deeply. My job on the board would be to make sure they have the support, resources, and leadership they need to allow the district to do its best work.

What I Stand For
Four priorities that I'll bring to the AAPS Board
Sound Financial Management
Fiscal responsibility isn't a constraint — it's the foundation. I'll push for transparent budgeting, honest projections, and spending decisions that reflect our community's values.
Excellence for Every Student
Every child in AAPS deserves a great education — not just those in the most resourced schools. My goal on the Board will be to raise the bar district-wide.
Before & After School Care
Working families need reliable, affordable care before and after school. It will only come back if we are on sound financial footing and make it a priority. Letting it lapse was a big blow to AAPS and its ability to attract and retain young families.
Keeping Great Teachers
Teacher retention starts with respect — competitive pay and a culture where educators feel valued. I want AAPS to be a place teachers choose and stay.
